Kenya: Tourism Board Hosts 'Out of Africa' Dinner

The Kenya Tourist Board recently held a farewell dinner for the production team of the organisation's sponsored musical theatre show dubbed Out of Africa: The Magic of Kenya.

The musical will be staged in 70 theatres in Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium and Denmark, starting this month as a marketing scheme to sell the county to the European market.

Some of the popular faces of the 23 cast members include TV's bad girl Mkamzee Mwatela known for her role as Usha in Mali, Shuga and Siri actor Anto Mwangi and actor Charles Ouda known for his numerous TV roles in shows like Makutano Junction and Mali.

The production comes at a time when KTB is focusing on the diversification of the tourist offerings to go beyond the beach and safari products that Kenya has been known for in most source markets.
