The tallying centre for Kajiado North by-election almost turned chaotic yesterday morning, after the IEBC officials delayed to announce the results. Returning officer Nasiae Tobiko had a difficult time calming down the TNA's candidate Moses Sakuda's supporters. Early provisional results showed he was leading and the supporters were demanding that Tobiko announce Sakuda the winner.
The supporters were worried that the votes could be "cooked" to favour a rival candidate.
