BEER wars have taken a new twist after a local company claimed that there is no firm that enjoys monopoly to import Heineken in the country.
Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, Mr James Bwana of Bwana Attorneys who represents Jaluma General Supplies Ltd, said that his client is a legal importer of Heineken from Namibia and South Africa. Mr Bwana observed that his client imports the beverage from countries which are members of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), who sell the same at a lower price compared to competitors.
