Luanda — At least 30 lawyers and 136 on-probation lawyers were on Friday in Luanda awarded their professional certificates under the Lawyers Week (September 18-22) as part of the celebrations of the 16th anniversary of the Bar Association (OAA).
Addressing the certificate delivery ceremony, the chair of the Bar's provincial council, Mariza Sequeira, recalled that advocacy emerged from the moral need to defend the weak and the just, as did by men that complied with the truth, law and justice.
She on the occasion mentioned that lawyer is the professional who defends a cause, and fulfils his duty with dignity and competence, seeking the realisation of justice rather than remuneration.
