Tunisia: Sixth ICT4all Forum Closes

Hammamet — Participants in the 6th Information and Communication Technologies for All Forum ICT4ALL laid emphasis, at the end of their works, on the need to develop and take further interest in ICT so as to boost social and economic development.

They pointed up during this event, held September 17-20 in the resort city of South Hammamet, the need to step up efforts to ease access to ICT, the aim being to narrow the digital gap between the North and the South.

Information Technology Minister Mongi Marzoug affirmed that the Forum recommendations are likely to revive bilateral and multilateral co-operation in matters of disseminating the use of ICT in view of their positive impact on social and economic development.
