Angola: Bar Association Chairman Defends Reform On Lawyers Training

Luanda — The chairman of the Angolan Bar Association (OAA), Hermenegildo Cachimbombo, last Friday here suggested that there is a need to debate changes to the current model of the training programme to become a certified lawyer in the country, for he considers it already inappropriate for the context.

The jurist, who was speaking at the closing ceremony of handing over the professional badges to 30 new lawyers, as well as the trainee licence to 136 law graduates, said that the debate is aimed at finding a consensus solution capable of bringing about a boost on the number of lawyers and improvement of their quality.
