Zimbabwe: Black Mambas, Chicken Inn Share Spoils

A Last Chibwiro equaliser helped Black Mambas escape from defeat against Chicken Inn in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Morris Depot yesterday.

Moses Jackson thrust Chicken Inn into the lead in the 59th minute before Chibwiro levelled 10 minutes later.

The result was Mambas' third straight league draw which saw them remaining one place above the relegation zone with 24 points, while Chicken Inn were also unmoved at fifth spot.

After a drab first half which only had a Peter Kachirika 45-minute shot on target to talk of as a real chance, the second half was a much improved show.

Just two minutes after coming on for an injured Tonderai Mateyaunga, Mambas goalkeeper Learnmore Jere was beaten by Jackson's deceiving cross latched from the right side touchline.

Chibwiro's leveller was a class act after he sensationally dribbled past a persistent Guide Goddard to rifle home past Njabulo Nyoni in goals. .for Chicken Inn.
