El-Fasher — Residents of Abushok IDP camp in North Darfur experienced intense panic on Wednesday evening, September 19, as unknown gunmen attacked the camp.

A witness told radio Dabanga that east of the camp's market was attacked by unidentified militants. In addition, the militants fired more than 100 bullets at the home of displaced person Himeidi Jafaar Himeidi, without causing casualties.

Camp attacks and robberies were resumed recently, the witness said. He added that the residents appealed to the authorities for reinforcement of night patrols inside the camp.
