Namibia Targets Bigger Market in Norway

A HIGH-POWERED ministerial and business delegation, led by Trade and Industry Minister Hage Geingob, left for Oslo on Monday to try and secure a bigger market share in Norway for Namibian meat.

The Geingob delegation includes Tom Alweendo, Director General of the National Planning Commission (NPC) as well as Joseph Iita, Permanent Secretary of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, and Malan Lindeque, Permanent Secretary of Trade and Industry. From the business sector, Geingob is accompanied by Paul Strydom, chief executive officer of the Meat Board of Namibia, Clara Bohitile, chairperson of Meatco, and Meatco CEO Kobus du Plessis. Andriet van Niekerk represents Brukarros Meat Processors, while Pieter de Wet represents the Namibia Development Corporation (NDC).
