Egypt: Copts Fear Marginalization in New Constitution

The coalition of Egypt's Copts has refuted claims that Coptic Christians represent 5.12 million of the country's population.

The coalition described the attempts to undermine the number of Copts in Egypt as an extension of their marginalization that was popular under Hosni Mubarak's rule. It feared that such attempts would shake their position in the constitution of post-revolution Egypt.
