Nigeria: Kebbi Airport Gulps N13.6 Billion

Birnin Kebbi — A total of N13.6 billion has been approved by the Kebbi State government for the construction of a state owned airport at Ambursa, Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Kangiwa, has said. Addressing newsmen at the end of the state executive council presided over by Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari, the commissioner said the project would be completed by March, next year.

He said the council has ratified and approved the contract for the Lot 1,2 and 3 of the project which includes the expansion of runaway, construction of tower and terminal building. He said the contract was awarded to CGC at the cost of N11.3 billion.
