Rwanda: JADF to Promote Residents, Involve in Development Programmes

Nyamasheke — Members of the Joint Action Development Forums (JADF) in Nyamasheke district (JADF Jyambere/Nyamasheke) met on the 27th.Sept.2012 in a meeting to look for ways to participate fully in the development of the district and to fulfill their responsibilities and performing contracts they vowed to achieve.

Charles Bahizi the vice mayor for finance and economic development in Nyamasheke district and the chairperson of JADF Jyambere/Nyamasheke in the district asked JADF members to always achieve the programs they vowed to achieve and the same to performing contracts of the district. This way they will play their role in the development of the district.

The district mayor went on to say that partners in development that will not fulfill their responsibilities will be punished and among those punishments include being expelled from the district.

Theophile Karuhije the executive secretary of JADF Jyambere/Nyamasheke said that in a order for JADF to fulfill their responsibilities they are preparing some projects including learning from each other and making a close follow-up on the actions of the partners in development and making people know what is supposed to be done for them.

Partners in development vowed to achieve what they are capable of achieving and there is no worry of failures. JADF members were asked to work very hard to develop the district.
