Nigeria: Soldiers, Boko Haram Clash in Zaria...One Killed, 20 Houses Destroyed

Zaria — Fighting has been reported between soldiers and suspected Boko Haram members which has led to the death of one and the arrest of a woman in Zaria Sunday morning.

The combined team of soldiers and policemen also detonated a heavy explosive device which resulted to the destruction of about 20 houses including the one rented by the suspected Boko Haram members. The incident took place in Gaskiya Residential area of Zaria.

Nigerian Army Depot PRO, Captain Abdullahi Ibrahim, confirmed the incident, promising to give more details later.
