Former LPRC Oilers Coach Kaitu Joe Smith was named as the head coach of the Liberia National team the Lonestar
According to information gathered from National fusion soccer website, Claetus Joe Smith served as Girls Director of Coaching at the National Fusion Soccer Club in the USA with series of Licenses including USSF "A" License, Liberia FA "A" which he said he got in 1989, FIFA coaching Certificates, CAF Coaching Certificates.
Others include NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA State Goalkeeping Diploma and I.O.C Itinerant Administration School Certificates.
His qualifications also include A.S.E.P. Director of Youth Sports Program certificate, Liberia Coach of the year 1997 and former Liberia coach instructor.
He served as coach of the Liberia U-17 &20 Teams, former coach of LPRC-Oilers, former coach of Baccus Marines, Liberia, former coach of Obanta United FC -Nigeria and former coach of Fulani FC-Liberia former coach NPA-Anchors and Bame.
Played the game from 1970-1984.
Coach Smith's record did not show of him coaching a professional club or any senior national team, he mostly deal with female soccer at Fusion soccer vision academy not too much in male soccer.
The Lonestar coach profile did not unveil him practically involve in coaching in the USA since the late 90s with clubs in Liberia and U-17, 20 national teams in Liberia.
Kaetu Smith was recommended by his long time friend now Technical Director of the Lonestar Henry Brown who is alleged that he asked the FA to not continue with Thomas Kojo but to hire his buddle who he felt can improve grass root football in Liberia.
The national team trainer has played seven matches getting nine points and six goals to his resume.

The Coach has since been levied as untouchable by the president of the Liberia Football Association Musa A.H.Bility, according to him, Mr. Smith is on assessment for two years, he said if the head coach does not win, will complete the years tenure.
