Housing is one of the three basic needs of man. After food and clothing, the next basic human need is housing. In civilised climes, provision of housing is seen as a fundamental social responsibility of the government to its citizenry.
However, records show that Nigeria has a housing deficit of about 17million. How far this frightening gap can be closed or how well the authorities have facilitated the citizenry in achieving these basic needs still remains a paradox.
