Nigeria: Flood Submerges Ex-Minister, Former Dep Gov's Houses, Sacks Poly Students

Onitsha — Houses of former Water Transport Minister, Prince John Emeka, and ex-Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chinedu Emeka, were among the more than 500 buildings submerged by flood at Umueze Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area last weekend.

This came as Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, yesterday shut its Atani campus indefinitely, following continuous flooding of the campus which destroyed many buildings and vital documents.
