Egypt: Presidency Denies Discussing Military Intervention in Syria

Presidential Spokesman Dr. Yasser Ali denied on Monday 1/10/2012 the press reports that President Dr. Mohamed Morsi had talks with Turkish leaders on a possible Arab military intervention in Syria, pointing out that the president is against foreign military intervention in Syria.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said there is not official plan to establish a free trade zone on the borders with Gaza Strip.

It was an idea put forward by the media but never discussed officially at any level, said the spokesman.
