Bronze medalists in the 2012 Sierra Leone Premier League, East End Lions, could possibly compete in next year's Africa football governing body, CAF's Confederation Cup as runners-up Kallon FC may pull out of the competition.
According to latest reports, the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has asked both champions Diamond Stars and Kallon FC of their willingness to compete in the regional tournaments but Kallon FC are a doubt due to alleged financial difficulties. Should Kallon FC fail to compete, then third place East End Lions could possibly fill the vacant position and represent the country in the Confederation Cup.
