Sierra Leone: UNIDO Trains 10 on Solar Installation

In a bid to empower youths and create jobs, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources and the Government Technical Institute last week ended 10-day training on solar photovoltaic installation in rural communities in the Kambia District.

The training held at the Barefoot Women College at Konta Line in the Konta Chiefdom, Port Loko district, brought together 25 participants from Kambia, Masongbala, Kasiri, Madina and Mambolo among others and a certificate of award was given to all participants who are now solar engineers.
