A five-man delegation from Sierra Leone sponsored by the West Africa Agricultural Productivity Program (WAAPP), on Sunday 23rd September left the country to participate in a five-day Sub regional information and exchange workshop on ECOWAS seeds, seedlings and pesticides regulations implementation in Dakar, Senegal.
The delegation, which comprised the Deputy Project Coordinator WAAPP Sierra Leone, Sulaiman Sesay, Edward Gbapie - National Coordinator Seed Multiplication Program MAFFS, Hon. Ibrahim Sorie - Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Dr. Ibrahim M.O. Shamie - Deputy Director of Crops MAFFS and Kattingu James Charles - Entomologist and crop protection Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute, will learn about two regulations within the ECOWAS regional policies which were adopted by member states in May 2008.
