Zimbabwe: No Zero Percent Pass Rate

School heads have come up with new measures to improve the quality of primary education, a development expected to ensure no zero percent pass rate by 2014. National Association of Primary School Heads (NAPH) president Mr Philip Rudanda last week said the primary school heads resolved to introduce preliminary provincial examinations to prepare Grade Seven pupils for their final Zimsec exams.

Speaking during NAPH's annual conference in Masvingo, Mr Rudanda said the preliminary provincial examinations would help primary schools to identify areas where individual Grade Seven pupils have a weakness before they sit for the final examinations.
