Namibia: Swindling Suspect's Trial Postponed

A CASE in which alleged swindler Adriaan Pienaar and two co-accused are facing a total of nine counts of fraud in the Windhoek Regional Court was again postponed yesterday, due to the withdrawal of Pienaar's defence lawyer from the matter.

Pienaar (50), who is a South African citizen, a fellow South African, Jacobus Adriaan Coenrad Blom (58), and Windhoek resident Jorge Fernando da Purificacao (44) were scheduled to go on trial before Magistrate Sarel Jacobs yesterday.
