Nigeria: Review Revenue Sharing Formula'

3 October 2012

Ilorin — Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has called for a review of the revenue sharing formula to enable state governments execute projects which will improve the lives of their people.

He made the call yesterday in Ilorin when he received the National Good Governance Tour team led by Information Minister, Labaran Maku. Ahmed advised that a platform be created whereby all tiers of government will review the dividends of democracy and resource allocation, saying it will enable state governments address the challenge of infrastructure deficit. The governor, who said his administration is determined to complete all existing projects, stressed the need for synergy between the three tiers of government in order for states to take ownership and maintenance of the projects.
