Namibia: MTC Goes Big With Boxing

MOBILE Telecommunications Company (MTC) on Tuesday announced a sponsorship of N$7,5 million over three years for boxing. At a press conference at its head office in Olympia, MTC spokesman Tim Ekandjo said that MTC would provide material and financial support to the Nestor Sunshine Boxing Academy as its headline benefactor.

"We have been following the sport of boxing with keen interest; it has huge support in terms of turnout, the boxers are very professional and importantly, the sports code is successful both locally and internationally. It is this kind of perseverance that caught our attention and today they are deserving of MTC's support for the next three years," he said.
