A prominent Itsekiri leader and activist, Chief Rita Lori Ogbebor, has threatened legal action should the police authorities fail, within seven days, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the kidnap of a Delta State High Court judge, Justice Marcel Okoh, on August 7.
Justice Okoh was kidnapped on the day he was expected to deliver a ruling on the motion before the court on a land dispute between the Delta State Government and Okere people of Warri. The incident led to the adjournment of the case till September 24 and on resumption, the file was reassigned to a new judge, who further adjourned it till October 8.
