Gambia: Ian Stokes' Murderers Appeal

Micheal Ifunaya Churwbiken and Stanley Agbazee Ugochukwu, the two convicted murderers of Ian Stokes, a Briton in May 2012 have filed appeal before the Gambia Court of Appeal challenging their conviction and sentence.

The duo were convicted and sentenced to death in June 2012 by the Special Criminal Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice Emmanuel A. Nkea after the third suspect, Collins Chijoke was acquitted and discharged.
