The government of The Gambia has formally established diplomatic relations with two Pacific Island countries namely, the Republic of Nauru and the Republic of Kiribati.
Mamadou Tangara, the Gambia's minister of Foreign Affairs sealed the diplomatic deal at the sidelines of the ongoing UN general Assembly with his counterparts Dr Kieren Keke and HE Anote Tong, president and Foreign Minister from Nauru and Kiribati respectively.
