The leadership of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has denounced what it terms nefarious activities of job racketeers, who have resorted to issuing fake appointment letters to unsuspecting job seekers, followed by monetary demand on its behalf.
The Immigration Service, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joachim Olumba, disclosed that the service had been swamped with complaints from helpless victims, who had in most cases been arrested for presenting these fake appointment letters at its Headquarters for documentation, and warned the general public that the Service has no hand in the illegal transaction.
