Mzalendo Kibunjia and his team at the National Cohesion Integration Commission are back in office. MPs unanimously approved an amendment to the NCIC Act that gives the commissioners an extra one year on their term which expired on September 9.
Kibunjia and his team will go back to office when President Kibaki assents to the Bill. Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa welcomed the passage saying the country is at a critical stage that requires the services of the commission.
