Kenya: Alcohol Law Has Failed to Curb Illicit Brews

WESTERN PC James ole Serian has said the Muthutho law has failed to achieve its intended purpose- controlling the manufacture, sale and consumption of illicit brews.

He, however, said the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act 2010 has been effective in regulating the sale and drinking at licensed premises patronised by the middle class people, adding that it has missed its objective of eradicating the deadly brews and drug buse.
