Nigeria: Police Recover Abacha's Stolen Gold Jewellery, Kill Two Armed Robbers

Kano State Police Command has recovered gold jewellery worth N30 million, property of Hajiya Maryam Abacha, widow of the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha. The Command also shot dead two armed robbery suspects, during a gun duel.

State Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Idris told reporters in Kano on Wednesday that the items were recovered after a thorough investigation into the case, adding that the arrest of one Lawan Mohammed led to the recovery of the exhibits.
