Nigeria: Fake Police Officer Jailed in Makurdi

Makurdi — A Chief Magistrate's Court in Makurdi, Benue State yesterday sentenced one Joshua Dauda to six months imprisonment for impersonating as a police officer. The convict was also said to have stolen a Jincheng motorcycle.

The Chief Magistrate, Dan Ogo, ruled that Dauda was guilty of the offences brought against him, and ordered that he should be given six strokes of cane in a public place.
