Lafia — The over-flowed Benue River has begun to recede, over two weeks after not less than 25 communities along its bank in Nasarawa State, were sacked by the ensuing flood which displaced not less than 8,000.
The flood also killed many, including children in its first two days, although local government authorities in Loko, and Toto, two of the most hit areas, are yet to come up with official figures.
