Nigeria: 2015 - House Raises the Alarm Over Plot to Frustrate INEC

Apparently miffed by the startling revelations that the Federal Government has released only N10 billion to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its activities in 2012, the House of Representatives Wednesday raised the alarm over what it described as attempts to frustrate the activities of the electoral body.

It was gathered that N35 billion was appropriated for INEC for its activities for this year, but only N10 billion had been released even as the financial year was fast coming to an end.
