Tunisia: Heightened Security Downtown Tunis

Tunis — Security and military reinforcements have been deployed, Friday at Habib Bourguiba Avenue-downtown Tunis, in anticipation of protests after Friday prayer against cartoons offending Prophet Muhammed and published last Wednesday by French satirical weekly "Charlie Hebdo".

According to TAP news agency correspondent who went to the scene, the security and military system has been tightened in front and around the French Embassy and the whole building has been protected by barbed wire.
