Nigeria: Stallion Motors Storms Abuja Motor Show

Lagos — Stallion Motors, has affirmed its interest in the 14th International Abuja Motor Show slated for 16 - 24, October 2012.

The company's group managing director (automobiles), Mr Parvir Singh made this pronouncement Tuesday when Mr Ifeanyi Agwu, chief executive officer, BKG Exhibitions Limited, organizers of the show visited the Victoria Island headquarters of the conglomerate.

Mr Singh said the company is participating at this year's motor show to avail government, desiring individuals, institutions and blue chip companies' of her efforts to raise the profile of Nigeria automobile industry.

He said: "We walk our talk at Stallion and this is evident in our growth pattern which evidently distinguishes us as one of the prime stakeholders that has dug its feet in the sand of time by investing heavily in local production of automobiles."

He said: "This initiative is the vision of the founding directors of the company who believe in backward integration and the need to show commitment to the future of Nigeria by contributing to the development of her economy."

Mr Singh said it is the tradition of the company to grow exponentially and also connect with the Federal Government growth initiative by consistently liaising with world class automobile companies to establish significant representation in Nigeria.

He enjoined Nigerians to take advantage of its participation at the Abuja Motor Show to buy their choice vehicles at the right price from the world's best brands marketed by Stallion subsidiaries.

Stallion Motors currently has exclusive franchises for nine automobile brands including Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen (passenger and commercial), Skoda, Honda, Hyundai (passenger and commercial) as well as Ashok Leyland buses and trucks with Foton and SsangYong.

Among some stunning models that would be displayed are Ashok Leyland buses and dump trucks, SsangYong Pick-ups and light commercial vehicles, Foton pick-ups and light commercial vehicles, Volkswagen passenger and commercial vehicles, Hyundai buses and trucks as well as Porsche, Audi, Honda, Hyundai, and Skoda passenger cars.

He said Stallion would also display full range of its recently acquired SsangYong vehicles including Rexton, Kyron and Actyon Sports. A notable highlight among the models is the Actyon Sports Pick-up 4WD that would expectedly stimulate clientele seeking solutions for haulage and other commercial uses.

The new Actyon Sports Pick-up is available in three variants - 4WD Manual Transmission, MT), 4WD MT with ABS+ABG and 2WD Manual Transmission.

Mr Singh however assured visitors of attractive discounts on all brands of vehicles marketed by the company during the show, noting that "studies have shown Nigerians like modern and functional cars when reasonably priced."

He said a variety of models from the nine world class automobile brands marketed and distributed by the company as well as spare parts would be showcased during the weeklong show.

Meanwhile, Mr Kiran Parab, marketing director, Hyundai Motors Nigeria Limited has said "patrons who buy any of Hyundai models at the fair would be eligible to FREE one year labour and consumable charges.

Mr Parab listed other incentives as branded Hyundai items and special price discount for fleet buyers.

Other Hyundai vehicles that would attract visitors are Hyundai HD special vehicles including Hyundai Universe bus, Aero City bus and County bus among others. Couple with these is the award winning Hyundai Elantra, iX35, Sonata and Accent, i10, Verna, Santafe, H1 and H100.

Similarly, The Honda Place, a subsidiary of Stallion Motors would have on display the 2012 Honda Civic and City sedans; Accord, Pilot, Crosstour, Odyssey and the recently launched 2012 CR-V model.

Mr Deepak Daryanani, marketing director, The Honda Place said its new leasing and financing initiative with Stanbic Bank PLc will also be hyped at the show.

The company would also showcase her European quartet brands' of Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Porsche at the show, featuring the latest Volkswagen Passat, CC, Scirocco, Polo, Tiguan and Touareg at the Volkswagen porch.

Stallion is also promising exceptional discount on Audi models including A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 models, Mr. Julian Hardy, deputy managing director, European brands, Stallion Motors assured.

Mr Hardy said Skoda World, also a subsidiary of the Stallion Group would offer mouth-watering discount on all Skoda range (including Superb, Octavia, Fabia and Yeti) during the weeklong show.
