Nigeria: Studying Islam at Seminary Doused My Fears - Cleric

Reverend Father John Sistus Okonkwo yesterday in Abuja said he used to be afraid of Islam and Muslims until he studied Islam at the Seminary and discovered its nature.

Okonkwo who represented former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Dr John Onaiyekan spoke at the annual independence lecture of The Muslim Congress (TMC) themed "That Our Nation may be Peaceful" and two lectures entitled "Corruption and its Solution" and "Peaceful Co-existence: Islamic Perspective".
