Angola: Luanda Railway to Open Branch to Transport Products in Capanda

Cacuso — Luanda Railway (CFL) department intends to open in coming days an industrial branch to connect the headquarters of Cacuso district, northern Malanje province, with the perimeters of the agro-industrial farms of Pungo Andongo, Pedras Negras, Biocom and Capanda hydroelectric project.

This was announced by the chairman of the board of directors of that company, Lobo do Nascimento, who assured that the intention is to ferry various goods from these centers to the rest of the country and vice versa.

The official who was speaking at the end of the meeting with officials of these agro-industrial projects, assured that the contacts have been made with a Chinese railway company that is working on presentation of the proposal of the construction of the project.

He informed that the project will be handed over to Transport Minister in the coming days for its implementation.
