Minister of State for Military Production Lt. Gen. Reda Hafez said that celebration of 6th of October victory is special for him as commander of the Air Force whose members all contributed to the achievement of this great victory.

As for the transitional phase during which the military council was running the affairs of the state, Hafez stressed that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces made every effort to secure the country and hold the elections which resulted in an elected president and stable institutions.

He also admitted mistakes, but they were unintentional because the experience of managing the affairs of the country was new to the armed forces.

He noted that new lines of manufacturing weapons will be opened to meet the demands of the Armed Forces. The next step, he said, will be marketing arms and equipment to the Arab and African countries.
