Rwanda: Congolese Refugees Seek UN Help

A group of Congolese living as refugees in Rwanda have petitioned the United Nations Secretary General, seeking help in what they have called "weakness, irresponsibility and lack of political will of the Kinshasa government," in solving the never-ending wars in the mineral rich country as well as their woes as refugees.

The Congolese, through their association, Forum for Congolese Refugee Students, also want the UN to put an end to their "depressed and hopeless" life by creating conditions for dialogue between the warring parties in Democratic Republic of Congo to speed up their repatriation.
