Eagles' coach, Stephen Keshi has urged his players to make it count when they play Liberia, in the winner takes it all second leg 2013 Nations Cup qualifier, October 13 in Calabar.

Keshi was speaking against the background of Nigeria's drop from world and continental reckoning, as was testified in the recent FIFA rankings for the month of October. And as the Super Eagles square up against boastful Liberia, Keshi has urged the players to return Nigeria to the Nations Cup, which Nigeria missed in January, and it has been largely responsible for the free fall in the world rankings.

"I understand the concern of Nigerians because over the last ten years the Eagles have been dropping in performance levels, but who can right the wrong if not the players.

"It is not the coaches, but the players. They must talk to themselves and say they must right the wrong and get Nigerians to believe in them again.

"The players need to wake up and there is no better time for that than now," Keshi stated in Abuja befiore the Eagles moved over to Calabar yesterday.
