Angola: Armed Forces Celebrate 21 Years of Existence

Luanda — The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) are celebrating this Tuesday, October 09, 21 years of existence, throughout which it has been committed to defending and safeguarding the country's independence and territorial integrity.

On 21 October 1991, under the Bicesse Peace Agreement, the former governmental armed forces, FAPLA, and the military forces of the then rebel group UNITA, agreed to form a unified corps, thus giving origin to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
