East Jebel Marra — The military spokesman of SLM-Abdelwahid, Mustafa Tambour, told Radio Dabanga that their forces captured four national security and intelligence services (NISS) on Tuesday October 8.
He said the event took place in the area between Douba el-Omda and Kutur, in East Jebel Marra, North Darfur.
Tambour added they also found a modern GPS with the detained soldiers, whose duties were guiding and tracking government airplanes in order to establish places to be bombed.
Tambour explained that one of the detained soldiers belong to the NISS security forces, Hamed Mohamed Ismail Obeid, and the other three belong to the intelligence services: Adam Omar Ashar, sergeant, and Mohamed Mohamed Adam Ibrahim Abdullah ranked sergeant and Abdel Karim Abker Ada Hamed, NISS lance officer.
SAF continues bombing East Jebel Marra
According to eye-witnesses, the Sudanese Air Forces continued bombardments in the East Jebel Marra region.
Sources informed Radio Dabanga that an MiG aircraft bombed the village of El-Nimra at around four o'clock on Tuesday. The attack resulted in the death of a number of livestock and caused fires in several farms.
Residents said the bombing led them to flee the area into neighboring valleys and mountain creeks in search of safety.
The fires are still spreading after the bombardments, witnesses from East Jebel Marra added to Radio Dabanga.
