Gambian Wrestling Referee Off to Togo

Gibril Badjie, a referee with the Gambia Wrestling Association (GWA) left the country on Friday to attend a five-day African Wrestling Referees Training level one course organised by Ecowas Centre for Youth and Sports Development. The course will take place from 8-12 October 2012 in Lome (Togo).

Speaking to Observer Sports on the development, Habibou Nyassi, secretary general of the GWA, said this is the second time a referee from the Association is being trained by Ecowas. He added that Kawsu Sanneh was the first to benefit from this level one training. He disclosed that the Association is currently working hard to make sure that other disciples are trained, adding that all this is geared towards building the capacity of the members of the GWA.
