Zimbabwe: Demand for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Surges

USE of liquefied petroleum gas is slowly increasing in Zimbabwe buoyed by rising demand from industry and households, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has said. Zera chief executive Engineer Gloria Magorimbo said that continuous load shedding was among the primary reasons pushing up demand for LP gas, commonly referred to as "gas".

"Currently the volumes for gas are picking up again on the back of improved capacity utilisation by industry and an increase in domestic use," she said.
