Kenya: Six Riders Fined for Lack of Licences

Six people have been fined a total of Sh12,000 for operating boda boda without licences. James Kamau Njoki, Nicholas Mwangi Ndambia, John Macharia Nyaga, Paul Nguya Wanjiru, Simon Kamau, Patrick Ngethe and SAamuel Kibuna admitted the offence were fined Sh2,000 each.

Gatundu Resident Magistrate Manuella Kinyanjui said boda boda are thea leading cause of road carnage. In the same court, 19 people, including eight students were ordered to sign a peace bond after they were found guilty of watching videos in unlicensed premises.
