Angola: Water Master Plan for Kilamba Kiaxi Presented

Luanda — A project dubbed Master plan for water and sanitation sector of Kilamba Kiaxi was presented Friday in Luanda, meant to contribute to improvement of access of the product in this district, under the Millennium Development Goals, Angop has learnt.

It is a joint initiative among the Kilamla Kiaxi distrital administration, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the

Spanish Government that financed and the Portugal's Aguas de Portugal company that implemented. With the assistance of UNDP were trained 18 employees of the mentioned distrital administration in methodologies and planning tools and they have been capable of stablishing their master plan for the sector.

According to statistics only four per cent is supplied by water network system, five per cent are have as source the fountains,

76 per cent through cisterns, whereas 15 per cent from other origins.
