Zambia: Economic Affairs Get Biggest Share in 2013 Budget

THE economic affairs will next year receive the biggest single allocation of about K9 trillion with the transport sector gobbling up almost half of that.

Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda said when he presented the 2013 national Budget to Parliament yesterday that the amount had been increased from the 2012 allocation of K8.1 trillion to K8.9 trillion, with the bulk of the funds going to agriculture, energy and transport.
