Rumbek — The Lakes state parliament has been subject to heated debate due to the amendment of the term limit of members of specialised committees to from five to two years.

Last week, Lakes state parliament lawmakers called the speaker of the Lakes state legislative assembly, John Marik Makur, to allow a vote on the term time.
