Kenya: Sewer Blamed for Diarrhoea

The department of Public Health in Naivasha has attributed the increase in diarrhoea in the town to the breakdown of the town's sewer system.

According to the Naivasha district public health officer Samuel King'ori, the old system could not handled the high capacity and kept emitting raw sewer into the streets.

"The current sewer system is old and no longer reliable and always spewing sewer into the streets thus becoming a health hazard," he said.
